Dr. Read believes in the importance of a comprehensive assessment strategy that guides both his treatment and rehab advice. His goals are to empower his patients with education regarding their particular condition, while combining manual therapy techniques along with individualized movement prescription.
Dr. Read is a Kingston native, and his interest in sports and athletic upbringing led him to complete a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Brock University in 2011. He then obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where he graduated Cum Laude with clinical honours distinction. In addition to his chiropractic training, Dr. Read is certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University, and has received training in concussion management through the Shift Concussion Management Program. He also has a particular interest in lumbar disc bulges/herniations causing sciatica, which led him to complete the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Part A: Lumbar Spine Course. Dr. Read’s passion for knowledge and patient care fuels his drive for continued professional development in delivering high-quality evidence-based care.
